$13,350 for Maryboro Lodge
On March 15/24 Glen Walker, a representative of Maryboro Lodge in Fenelon Falls, accepted a donation of $13,350, from 100 Women Who Care Kawartha Lakes
$14,500 for Big Brothers Big Sisters- Kawartha Lakes, Haliburton
On October 24th, the representatives of the Big Brothers, Big Sisters of Kawartha Lakes, Haliburton accepted a donation of $14,500.00 from 100 Women Who Care Kawartha Lakes.
$15,150 for Victoria’s Quilts
The representatives from Victoria’s Quilts were so pleased to accept a donation of $15,150 from 100 Women Kawartha Lakes.
$14,550 for Fenelon Falls Senior Citizens’ Club
The executive of 100 Women Who Care were very pleased to present The Fenelon Falls Senior Citizens’ Club with a donation of $ 14,550.00 from their February 2023 meeting. This is our largest donation since the start of the pandemic in 2020!
$13,900 for Trish’s Wish Foundation
Trish’s Wish Foundation is a not for profit charity that provides support and financial assistance, to families residing in the City of Kawartha Lakes, that are in crisis as a result of a serious illness or injury to a family member who is between the ages of 17 and 25. Trish’s Wish plans to use the donation to purchase special
medical equipment and assistive devices not covered by health benefit plans. They also provide respite care
as well as help cover expenses such as transportation costs for those in need.
$12,350 for THRIL (Therapeutic Horse Riding in Lindsay)
Since 2014, T.H.R.I.L has been providing therapy riding lessons to children, youth and adults with physical, emotional and intellectual challenges. Currently at T.H.R.I.L over 30 riders a week, from ages 4 to 60 experience the joy and thrill of being on a trained therapy horse. Some of the benefits of therapeutic riding are an improvement in physical health, relaxation of tight muscles, an increase in balance, building of muscle strength, mobilization of trunk and pelvis, sharpening of hand-eye coordination, improvement in social skills, and a gain of sense of accomplishment and self-esteem as the rider experiences a freedom which has often never been felt before.
$12,750 for the Ross Memorial Hospital Foundation
We recently had the pleasure of presenting Ross Memorial Hospital with a donation of $12,750 on behalf of 100 Women Who Care Kawartha Lakes’s October 2021 meeting.
These funds will support the purchase of a new MRI machine which will bring life saving technology to the residents of the Kawartha Lakes.
$12, 300 for The Boys and Girls Club Kawartha Foundation
So excited to present this donation on behalf of our members to the June 2021 recipient- The Boys and Girls Club Kawartha Foundations. The donation of $12,300 will go a long way to supporting subsidies for children, youth and families in order to ensure there are no financial barriers to participation at BGC Kawarthas.
$12,925 for Canadian Mental Health Association- HKPR
Jack Veitch graciously accepted the donation from our March 2021 meeting on behalf of the Canadian Mental Health Association- HKPR.

$12,350 for Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes
100 Women Who Care Kawartha Lakes was excited to present the Humane Society of Kawartha Lakes with the donations from our June 2020 meeting. Together we raised $12,350 (a late donation was received). This was our first virtual meeting and was a great success.
$17,200 for Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides
100 Women Who Care Kawartha Lakes was excited to present the Lions Foundation of Canada Dog Guides with the donations from our February 2020 meeting. Together we raised $17,200 (a late donation was received) to support residents in Kawartha Lakes who are currently waiting for a Dog Guide.
$17,450 for Trish's Wish Foundation
What a great way to end another successful year of donations - our outgoing exec presents Trish’s Wish Foundation with $17450.00 donated by our 100 Women Who Care Kawartha Lakes chapter from the October 22nd Meeting. Shirley, Debbie (Trish’s mom) and Cheryl from Trish’s Wish gratefully and ecstatically received.
$17,335 for Women's Resources Bridges Program
Presenting the remarkable donation of $17335.00 gathered by our 100 Women Who Care Kawartha Lakes to Women’s Resources for their Bridges program. This donation will enable the program to continue for another year. Never forget that our giving circle is helping our community and MAKING A DIFFERENCE.
